Dr. Nelson Sanchez is a board-certified dermatologist that specializes in general and surgical dermatology. Dr. Sanchez was born in Miami, Florida and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at Florida International University, graduating summa cum laude. He remained in Miami and attended medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
After graduating medical school, he moved to Georgia and completed his internship at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. He subsequently completed his Dermatology Residency at one of the largest and most prominent academic medical centers in the Southeast, Vanderbilt University Department of Dermatology in Nashville, Tennessee. While in Nashville, Dr. Sanchez trained in general dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Sanchez has extensive experience in all things skin, hair, and nails such as the management and treatment of dermatologic conditions including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, and other inflammatory skin conditions. Dr. Sanchez utilizes the newest therapies which include biologics and small molecule medications to treat patients. He is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering team cohesion.
Dr. Sanchez has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and actively participates in dermatology conferences. Dr. Sanchez holds membership in several professional societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Sanchez enjoys travel, exercise, weightlifting, and spending time with his miniature Aussiedoodle, Ella.
