In these difficult cases, a Dermatopathologist is critical to arriving at the correct diagnosis. At Marietta Dermatology, we have a state-of-the-art dermatopathology laboratory staffed by a board-certified Dermatopathologist. Whenever a biopsy is taken, the specimen is transported to our dermatopathology laboratory and processed by our skilled histotechnicians. Once the slides are prepared, they are interpreted by our board-certified dermatopathologist, Dr. Kevin Thomas. Dr. Thomas has years of experience interpreting skin biopsies and is board-certified in Pathology and Dermatopathology.
