Dr. Kevin Thomas is a native of South Carolina. He graduated summa cum laude and first in his class from Clemson University. He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine where he earned his M.D. degree and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He did his Pathology residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital and was chief resident. Dr. Thomas completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Vermont and is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as in Dermatopathology.
Dr. Thomas lives in Kennesaw with his wife Melissa. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter Isabella, hiking, other outdoor activities, and anything related to Clemson athletics.

From annual full-body scans to urgent needs, they provide excellent service in a super clean but warm and friendly environment - with punctuality (hardly any wait time when you come to be seen. The staff is prompt and professional in handling appointments, and this week, I even scored a same-day appointment with my preferred provider when I needed diagnosis and treatment for an acute perioral dermatitis. Stephen Steiner and his assistant are always cheerful, professional and make you feel totally at ease. Stephen explains in lay terms complex concepts, and even anticipates that you Google on your own as he provides treatment options and identifies pros and cons.   I been going to Marietta Dermatology for 6+ yearsll now.  I moved to the Atlanta area from Florida. Living there for 25 years, with the addition of being on certain biologic medications for autoimmune disease, has taken the toll on my skin. Having 5 bouts of skin cancer now, I cannot recommend Marietta Dermatology enough!  I have been seeing Dr Sanchez,  and he is remarkable!  He is so thorough when given a body scan. His surgical performance and sutures are excellent!!! For anyone who thinks/says that Dermatologists are cutting people to make money from the insurance companies, while I can't speak for all doctors elsewhere, of course, this is absolutely not the case here. I have had spots removed under my own request, as well as suspicious looking spots that were detected during one of my scans, and they did not all come back positive from the biopsies. I travel almost an hour to be seen and treated by Marietta Dermatology. I have an office that's even closer to my house, but since Dr Sanchez doesn't work in that office, and I have received such excellent care, and he knows my history, etc., I'd rather travel and continue to see and receive treatment from him. I have 100% trust and faith in receiving care from Marietta Dermatology and Dr Sanchez. I am confident that anyone who is considering them, will as well! I almost forgot, their nursing and office staff are also second to none!  They are always so pleasant, personable, and professional.  It's actually enjoyable being seen here. Oddly enough, I look forward to my visits, even if I am having surgery, because Dr Sanchez and the nurses are so kind. It's like visiting with friends.

Getting the first appointment can take some time but once you start seeing them 6 month appointments are easy. I go to the Canton office and see Onynx who has been great. She has been able to find a couple of problem areas and I hav head 2 Mohs surgeries with Dr Friedman who also is very good and has a staff that is very efficient and although no surgery is fun they make the experience very tolerable and as painless as it can be.   I have been a patient of Marietta Dermatology for many years. They have removed many small skin growths, both potentially cancerous and non-cancerous. I’ve used both the Canton and Marietta locations. Their scheduling staff is very helpful and responsive. Wait times at the office are always very short, which illustrates an efficient operation. Insurance procedures were handled completely and accurately. I’ve been treated by several doctors, as well as the P.A. Nicole Black, on my most recent visit. She is very efficient, skilled and made me feel very comfortable with my treatment. I find her to be representative of the highly professional and friendly staff at this medical practice. I have not used any of their cosmetic procedures, but if that group of practitioners is as good as  the ones who have treated me, then you would do well to give them a try.   I heartily endorse the Marietta Dermatology center because of the treatment and care that I received during the two MOHS surgeries by Dr. Friedman and the Basal Cell surgery by PA Morgan over the last month. I had gone to Marietta Dermatology because of an open wound on my shoulder and this triggered an upper body examination which determined that I had a melanoma and several Basal cells. I did not expect this and so I became apprehensive but the fine consideration by the staff put me at ease. Then I was taken into the examination room and confirmed what I was there for and from that time until I saw the doctor was about two minutes also. The doctor examined the places that I was concerned with and done the treatment and I was out the door in 15 minutes total! Wow, that’s a record for me with any doctor that I have seen!!   If I could give more than 5 stars to Marietta Dermatology, I would. I’ve been seeing Dr. Dobo for about 4 years, and he’s truly changed my life. I dealt with painful, embarrassing pilar cysts for over 12 years. They affected my confidence so much that I literally grew my hair out just to hide them. Dr. Dobo didn’t just treat them, he understood how much they were affecting me. He’s attentive, patient, and genuinely compassionate. Over time, he’s removed about six cysts for me, and each one felt like a huge weight lifted. Also, his staff is incredible. Everyone is kind and welcoming, and there’s a young woman on his team who is especially warm and personable. They make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. I walked in years ago feeling frustrated and self-conscious. Now I walk out feeling confident and relieved. Highly recommend.

  Olivia and Regina got me set up when my insurance was being a challenge. Such great customer support and a real pleasure to talk with. Rachel, Reagan and one other PA ( I didn’t get her name) were working diligently to take care of me and everyone else and even as busy as they were they still had a great attitude. Dr. Friedman balances everything around him like a professional and checked with me frequently to make sure I was doing well. I have always seen Stephen Steiner, PA.  He is personable, thorough and professional.  He listens and addresses my concerns.  And his assistants are always nice and respectful.   It was a pleasure to visit your office.  The staff was courteous, efficient and treated me like they wanted to come back again.  Dr. Black snd her  assistant   did everything needed to make me comfortable and completed the exam in an efficient manner. There was no rush and I still out of there in less time than I usually spend in the waiting room in most doctor's offices.   Marietta Dermatology on Marble Mill is the most efficient physicians office I have ever visited.  Everyone is professional and good at their job.  The wait time is next to nothing and I walked out 2 minutes before my scheduled appointment time (I showed up 15 minutes early).
